Overview

Design Sprint is a highly effective and time-efficient design method, empower businesses in identifying and addressing critical challenges. By combining problem-solving, UI/UX ideation, rapid prototyping, and feasibility testing, the Design Sprint offers a comprehensive approach within a condensed 4-day timeframe.

In this exciting project, I am honoured to be part of the facilitation team, having been invited by SITA and easyJet. Our mission is to conduct a Design Sprint aimed at enhancing the boarding passenger journey. With a focus on delivering seamless, innovative, and efficient solutions, we are determined to transform the travel experience together!

My Role

Assistant Facilitator

On the Day1 and Day2, I work closely with the lead facilitator, providing assistance and backing in organising and conducting the Design Sprint. This involves pre-Sprint preparations and post-Sprint follow-ups.

UI/UX Designer

One the Day3 and Day4, I deliver a comprehensive design solution based on the conclusion from the Day1 and Day2 Design Sprint that includes product high-fidelity UI mock-ups and interactive prototypes, and plan and organise user testing.

How it started

One link to build the seamless CV editing experience

As we saw the rising needs of oversea-job hunting because of the popularity of the new working pattern of being able to work remotely - basically you can work anywhere around the world, just at home.

More and more people are turning their view towards the global world to find the most suitable industry and team for themselves.

Being able to create CV efficiently and hand over their CV to the reviewer as quick as possible when they see the dream opportunity is the key.

Thinking of content is frustrating enough, however, not mentioning to do the delightful layout as a non-designer user. Can I help them relieve the stress and achieve this goal easily?

Key TakeAways

What I've learnt from this process

01.

Build a product from scratch and understand the broad spectrum of design.

02.

Think about the limitations and ask the right questions to help explore the possibilities for product, but also narrow down the direction to build it.

03.

Having a great team is the key to achieve a big goal.

This project gives me a proper understanding that how difficult it is to build a product from scratch. The process is fun and inspiring, however, a totally estimable experience. You'd never know how many details to take care of until you have been through it even just for a simple and easy service.

I have enhanced myself in understanding the broad spectrum of design, thinking about the limitations and asking the right questions.

I am really appreciated of having a great team helping me to achieve it. Tons of meetings and working time on the weekend seem all worthy while doing user testings and see how they found our product is easy-to-use and helpful for their CV building journey.

It doesn't lead to an end, but another start for our next step. We plan to extend our CV template collections and make the platform more flexible in the following year. We also plan to create sign-in process for users to log in and store different versions of their CV.
